I'm the 4th child out of 5. All of my siblings that are older than me are brothers and my one younger sibling is a sister. I do wonder what it's like to have a younger brother and I do wonder what it's like to have an older sister. My older brothers definitely don't look out for me. If anything, they do everything they can to avoid doing anything positive for me. For example. One of my brothers works at a factory plant. Back when I was looking for a job and having a hard time finding a job, was the same time that the factory that he was working for was looking to hire many many people. My brother was actively trying to get people new to work at the factory. He did everything he can to make sure that I wouldn't be working there. He tried his best to not help me out. So, you're not missing much.
No I enjoy being the first born and eldest it gives me certain power over my younger siblings I do wish my younger siblings were a ton more mature and grew up a little I am the one who usual fixes the problems I have always been able to lookout for myself and protect myself so that has never been a issue.
I'm the oldest too. And I always wished I had an older brother to come fight my battles for me when I was a kid so I didn't have to. But alas, I turned myself into a hard ass and fought them lol.
And now I have triplet younger siblings and they all want me to fight their battles for them and I'm just like, "I already fought my battles! Fight your own!" lol

I think I would be more realistic if I had an older sibling. I'm oldest of 3 but I sue as hell feel way behind in terms of life experience and successful goals compared to them. I think a lot differently than they do.
And I also think that because I am a guy I get less respect than my sisters and less allowances . I think that part of it is due to my sisters going to university while I didn't plus I think that people generally tak it easier on girls
You're not missing much haha. I have an older brother and he's been pretty detached and unhelpful my whole life. He's still one of my best friends, but as far as being protective, I'm afraid I'm the one who usually looks out for him. :)

The only thing my older sister ever did for me was bully me and tell me she'd kill me almost daily. I think I would have had an easier time growing up if I was an only child.
