The way I got out of the Family Zone was when I met some guy and I didn't really talk to my best friend Timothy that much anymore and when we did talk I would mostly go on and on about the guy which I noticed made Timothy a bit Jealous. Now that the guy has a girlfriend who is not me, Timothy and I are now dating. I'm not saying you should make him/her jealous, but try and take sometime away from them that way they can notice how much they miss you and hopefully you will get out of the Family Zone. Be warned that this method worked for me, but it may not have the some effect for you.
I know a guy who's kind of like a brother to me. I say kind of, because he's more like a sister.
If you want to get out of that zone, you have to show her that she got you all wrong. You aren't who she thought you were. You're actually boyfriend material.
But that might be hard to do. In the end, never be anything more or less than yourself. If you do you and she still doesn't accept it, then you're too good for her. Move onto the next one; there's 4.5billion of them out there, minus one.
You can't. It's not about what you do - it's about who you are. If you're in the friend zone, you're simply not what she's looking for. The only way to get out is to change.
You aren't going to like the answer but you have to walk away as hard as it is. Either you will be able to move on or maybe that person will realize how valuable you were to them and realize you are more than a friend. There is no worse feeling than having romantic feelings for someone but being an afterthought.
Once you are starting to get in... you are entering a deep hole without a rope... so once you are in... better stay there so you won't lose her as a friend or sis... you should not go in.. thats the way you can get out
