Some people don't know what necklace should go with what neckline...which is fine, but if you want the full fashion experience it's really nice to follow these 'unwritten' rules to make it easier for yourself to make your necklace pop in a way you want it to and draw the eye there.
Strapless goes great with chokers or longer waterfall necklaces:
Crew neck shirts lent themselves to bib or collar necklaces:
Scoop neck shirts lent themselves to shorter more dense/chunkier necklaces:
Off the shoulders top is amazing with a medium density necklace just up to the top:
V-neck tops look best with either simple one pendant shorter necklaces or narrow waterfall necklaces - and neither touch the fabric of the top, only the skin:
Turtlenecks look best with really long necklaces - past your breast height - down to your belly button:

As for me I have a very large 14 karat all gold chain it goes all the way down to my chest. Its a real nice one I have it in a safety deposit box
