in my case, I would say it's pretty damn deceptive. I have been using makeup since I was 16, and I've gotten pretty good at "enhancing" my features to the point where, if I were to take off my makeup, i'd look totally different. my face would definitely look more fresh and younger. makeup actually makes me look older. I have a baby face like selena gomez, where it hits this hopeless point that feels like no matter how old I get, i'll always look like i'm 12. ugh.
I stopped using it in the middle of college, and then I picked it up again when I realized that people tend to be nicer to attractive people; it's true. they tend to want to associate with people who look better, and they treat them nicer. I don't know why. when I stopped wearing makeup, my family also didn't like it and would urge me to wear it. so that's part of the reason why I wear it. and I hate it. it takes 2 hrs every day to get ready, with touch ups throughout the day. makes me wish I were a guy sometimes.
Some girls look like two different people with and without make up, if that's the case it's deceptive. This is why I don't wear fake eye lashes, I don't wear extensions, dye my hair or have fake nails/tan. I wear some make up, but when I take it off I don't look like a different person. My bf prefers me without make up, but I prefer at least some because it can make you look more awake and refreshed. There's nothing creeper to me than seeing a girl peel off all this shit after a night out, eye lashes, hair etc and it's all over the floor. Lol

Personally makeup is deceptive in my opinion bt most guys typically have a certain image they want of a girl so some/most girl wear makeup I honestly just started bt not daily only wear eyeliner and lipstick bc I don't feel I need it bt I do like to wear it for special events :)

this is perfect because make up and eyeliner isn't so bad and for a special occasion i can understand.
Thanks I think so too I would hate for a guy to fall something im not lol plus I don't want to look like a fake doll. I think it should enhance beauty not mask it :)
No. It's the guys fault for being so addicted to beauty that he fell in love with an illusion. The guy who falls in love with a hot girl with make up is a shallow jerk.

i never said anything about falling in love but with your logic it's the girls fault for liking the guy when she was drunk because she "fell in love with an illusion."
@Asker That is the unfortunate truth. Living with a woman for over 10 years. I get the blame for situations that are objectively out of my control. Say I've been at work all day, I come in, my partner finds that the puppy we have has done a poo in the upstairs bathroom. My fault for some reason, yet I haven't even taken my work shoes off yet, let alone been upstairs.
Women eh? God decided to wrap up all the crazy in the world, in to one neat package called women. Then decided that this ball of crazy should be the very creature we are most drawn to. lol
The examples you provided are not just make up. They're digitsllg enhanced and altered. So don't go by that. If you're taking foundation, concealer, blush, mascara, eyeliner, shadow, lip liner, lipstick, under eye lightener, then yeah that can be a little deceptive. A little mascara and bronzer is just enhancing.

Listen. For whatever reason as guys we can look good without make up, obviously Brad Pitt on a movie set will look a little bit better than Brad Pitt walking around the mall but as guys we can look pretty good without make up, for whatever reasons girls using the make up to cover up imperfections makes us think they are flawless so that when a girl doesn't wear make up she looks brutal. It's not them lying to us or deceiving us it's them looking perfect for us even girls who don't wear that much make up are still putting on a fair bit it's good man don't hate it.
Whoa whoa whoa, you can't compare celebrities on the red carpet, to a woman in everyday makeup. I wear makeup, but I still don't have a problem showing my face whitout, since I don't look that different. I think it's a real dick move, to say we deceive you by not being born, as beautiful as we look at a party. We wear makeup to feel sexy/beautiful/cute/attractive or whatever reason the individual girl have, It's not up to you, how much and if we should wear it. If you don't like it, then go find a natural chick, I don't care. Im out to trick anyone, and luring them into my nest, I just want to feel pretty when leaving the house.
Of course it's deceptive, people cover blemishes and skin problems with it. They create bigger lip and longer lashes with it. They create the illusion of a more feminine or more mature face with it. If it wasn't deceptive people wouldn't be using it because that's it's whole goal: to make you look better.
Every time I see a woman with makeup all I can think of is:
"What other lies is she telling me? Is she secretly a queen in commoner clothes? Does she have a bank account in the Caymans? Will I live up to the standards of her overbearing father?"
And then I have to go sit down and chew some gum before I pass out.
Make up is deceptive 😪😪 in my opinion and I feel make up shouldn't be an everyday thing. If I have a boyfriend I want him to love me for me ( my normal everyday face with out make up) So on the day I put on make up he's going to appreciate me more But if he keeps seeing you with make up on, and the day you decide not to put on make up then I don't know that's your problem, it might seem so weird to him

Girls don't always wear make up for guys. This is a common mistake guys make. Some girls just feel better with make up on. They feel prettier. Altough the should be no need for them to feel like that. Most woman do it for themself. They feel more presentable. Also I have found that many guys when looking at girls would comment and say someone should teach that girl about make up, or that girl doesn't give a crap about her looks because she doesn't wear make up. But in short most woman put on make up to conceal their flaws so that they feel more confident when in the company of men or anybody for that matter.

to be honest, even natural can be deceptive. For example, right now I haven't eaten anything (have a stomach ache NOT anorexic), suffering from a lack of sleep and generally feeling shit. Result: I look like an ghost and slug around the house with feeble amounts of energy
In the summer: tanned, sunkissed blonde hair, fresh out of the swimming pool when my face is flushed from exercise I look hot, and I feel confident and energized!
So you could say that a because someone's natural physical state fluctuates, a representation of them at one moment in time is deceptive?

I think it is quite deceptive, which I why I almost never wear it. The only time I ever really wear it is big occasions where I'm expected to wear it, like dances or big dinners. I want someone to fall for me, not for a mask of makeup. With me, what you see is what you get. I don't judge other girls for wearing it, except for the ones who like a completely different person after "putting on their face". Most girls usually wear minimal make up anyway. Celebrities have created this definition of beauty that is unachievable without the help of tons of make up, weave, dye, spray tans, surgeries, injections, and implants. People want to be beautiful and a lot of people are willing to alter theirselves past the point of recognition to achieve it.
noo what do you mean? Of course I was born with winged eyeliner and purple eyelids! honestly if it's eye makeup you are stupid for thinking that's natural, face makeup I can see being a bit deceiving but I don't even know how to use foundation so congrats to the women who are actually good at it you are all very skillful.

not all makeup is glamour there is natural looking makeup
I agree. I personally wear bb cream that's it.. No lies. But Some chicks cake that "war paint" on so much. But is it insecurity? Or just that majority of celebrities wear a lot as well. Guess a lot of girls follow fashion trends too. So if no make up was "in style" would they do it? Probably not.. lol
I have a question called.. have you seen this video... check it out... I do think that make up can be deceiving only when they put so much they look like someone new... but if its like just to give them self a little of color then no ps. you have Sofia vergada in your line... I think she is beautiful with no make up.. that lady is over 50 years old...
Smh I find this argument to be dumb. Everyone knows make up changes what a person looks like--there's no deception there, attempted or otherwise. I'll be the first person to say I look way uglier without make up. Unless a woman is trying to claim her face is "natural" when she's covered in make up, there's no deception going on, only fun with paint.

yeah maybe those aren't her intentions but we feel betrayed when we wake up and she is not what we thought she was
it isn't deceptive, but it is meant to 'enhance' a girls looks. I feel its the same way as getting a new haircut or when a boy gels his hair. It's using products to enhance appearance. In the end you are still the same person underneath and it kind of only bothers people who like the opposite sex for their aesthetics and nothing else. :)

alcohol isn't deceptive at all either it is meant to "enhance" a guys chances of getting laid. ps. i don't really think getting a girl drunk is right but it's just an example of your logic.
I look good with or without makeup. I don't see makeup as a deception but a tool to enhance ones beauty. My friends, family and exes have all said you don't need to wear makeup that I am already beautiful without it but I enjoy making up my face. Its apart of me taking care of me.

the irony is that it will decay your natural beauty by wearing it.

You see the bitterness inherent to the female condition. It's best to avoid such women, unfortunately they're everywhere.
@BiggsyDaBoss hahaha yeah and even worse is that it's acceptable to blame us for everything.
@Asker

anyway... lol

Not when you use it to highlight your features.
But I think makeup like this is too much

Only if you don't take of your skin. I do. Kind of obsessive compulsive about my skin. I also use 100% cocoa butter on my skin.
