Why do girls get more looks when they're wearing form fitting dresses than when she wears tight jeans?

A girl at school walked by in a tight dress (and though it was quite form-fitting, it was long and didn't reveal much skin) and guys started whispering and nudging each other. But the next day she was wearing jeans and didn't get the same reaction. Why do you think tight dresses get guys staring in fascination, while they don't react the same way if she wears well-fitting jeans?

  • Dresses are meant to reveal more skin than tight jeans and they are supposedly more feminine so...

    • Jeans are technically more revealing, after all, there's no risk of showing cameltoe even if the dress is really tight. But maybe because dresses are lighter and thinner, it shows a little "bounce" when they walk, hence the fascination.

  • Simply that a dress is thinner and easier to access the parts they were staring at and talking about. I mean how hard is it to pull up a dress.
