If all else is equal, a smaller head is always more aesthetic due to golden proportions. The other point-even if you were relatively tall and had wide shoulders, having a big head in general relative to other shorter people would also mean... on a face-to-face level your head will not look right next to theirs. Imagine having a girl sit on your lap and you get the idea.
