Can I use herbal rinses to clarify my hair?

Clarifying shampoos and bennoite clay are expensive. I was thinking of doing a rosemary hair rinse or rosemary and thyme rinse to clarify my hair instead. Do you think that'll work?

Updates:
I have used apple cider vinegar rinse before but it made my hair brittle :(

  • I don't know anything about the texture and the quality of your hair so I cannot give you a clear answer.
Try it and see if it works out.
    Pretty useless answer, I know.

  • A friend of mine used rosemary rinse and it seemed to help she said. But I don't know if it's true since she used it in the beginning of the summer ans was often outdoors in those weeks. Maybe the change was just by the sun.

  • That sounds good. I don't use shampoo. Just take apple cider vinegar, put it in a spray bottle, then massage it into your scalp. I use it and it works like a charm

  • I think bleach can also clarify your hair.
