Guys, what exactly do ladies wear to a frat banquet?

So i know what its like but i dont know exactly what to wear. I've heard of really formal dresses at the awards ceremony and the actual dinner but i wanted to know if thats really necessary. Like can play up a more casual look? Is it strictly dresses or can i wear a fancy romper to the awards part of it? Like i really dont know what is expected of me. Helpp

Ask your date. The formals I went to were pretty formal, some of them were full on black tie, so a casual look could really look out of place. Each fraternity is different, and the styles drift a bit each year. What you could do is look at the facebook page of that particular chapter of the fraternity. They will usually have photos up there from various formals and events, so you could probably take a peek at what people were wearing last year to get a good idea.

A romper sounds good, it can be a bit casual. No need to go strictly formal, or a cocktail dress. Pick something that's comfortable to wear.
