I used them until I was about your age now it depends on what I am doing. Boxers are comfortable as hell and chicks dig them so 80% of the time that is what I use now. Boxer-briefs will give your junk more support and they will not ride up like boxers will. I use them when I am doing something more physically demanding. House/yard work, hiking, working out, or even if I am just going to be moving around a lot. Boxers can get pretty uncomfortable if they start to ride up and they give no support to your twig and giggleberries.
Switch to boxer briefs maybe? They hold you bits in place like briefs do but they look like boxers. They also range from skin tight to however much room you want.
Wear what makes you comfy! You know they make briefs for men that aren't tighty whities, right? Look up briefs online they have all sorts of colors and styles which look good on men. Calvin Klein etc. makes designer men's briefs.
You should wear whatever makes you comfortable and that shouldn't be of anyone's concern but yours! I wouldn't mind and I'm sure many other girls wouldn't mind either. It's just underwear mate :D
