Yea, okay this one is from a recent movie but whatever.
Does anyone else find 1920s style of women beautiful?
Yea, okay this one is from a recent movie but whatever.
So I have to chop off my hair? No way lol :P
Not my favorite decade tbh! I much prefer the 50's and 60's as-well as the early 70's! I think some of the styles from the 20's are nice, but nothing beats the decades I mentionned imo!
50's

@Phoenix98 I get you, I'm a 70s fan, I mean, the I'm trying to get Jimmy Page hair as we speak haha. Just came across a few photos and I'm in love.
@Phoenix98 Haha really? I had in mind the women with more of a skinny figure/dark lips/short hair and straight dresses, there must some other styles then :P But yeah the time where women looked like women and men looked like men (I feel like I might get in trouble for saying this haha!
Well then I guess the 70s isn't your thing lol (Long haired men?)
Lol nice
@ElissaDido nah your not wrong that was the style but there were women with longer hair to at least shoulder length or longer. Mary Pickford was one such gal. And nah I agree with you back then men were men and dressed like one properly, suit and hat, slacks etc and women were women and dressed like em, skirts, dresses and proper clothes and you knew which one was which now a days I almost feel as if I have to ask are you a woman? lol, I long for the old times.
@rjroy3 Yes and their dates were much funner as-well! And classier Lol

@Phoenix98 I definitely understand you! I'm grateful for many of the scientific and technology advances but when it comes to morals and values I think we're going backwards in many aspects (of course not all of them, but you get what I mean haha) ! When I ask my grandma how it used to be in the 50's 60's it seemed so much more relaxed! Families were stronger and more ted/faithful one to another, people would literally live together until death sets them apart... women had more dignity and were more modest and not viewed as sex objects ( I'm sure many people would disagree with me on this one, but that's how I see it ) :P !
Oh wow, these places sound so fun! Where do you live? ^^
Lol that's good, and as am I, but I agree with you whit every technological advance it seems we lose a part of what we used to be whether it's morals, values, tradition or even something simple like having a face to face conversation. And yeah tell me about it I'm surrounded by older folks and seniors all the time, and I talk with them a lot and they tell me how it used to be all the time. Especially this bit families were stronger and more ted/faithful one to another, people would literally live together until death sets them apart... women had more dignity and were more modest luckily I belong to one such family and have such values and morals.
Hehe yeah they are pretty cool, we got this nice little family owned joint ( coffee cafe ) and they do swing dancing which is the dancing of like the 30s-50s and stuff like live bands and local singers, lot of fun, lot of cool places like that around here.
Anyway lol I live in a small town in the great plains of Kansas right in the center of the United States of America home of rodeos, wheat, sunflowers, beautiful sunsets/rises and country fun.

The 1920s is one of my favorite decades to talk and learn about. I wish there were events where everyone would where decade themed clothing and all go dance and have fun. The roaring 20s was a great time for that, and I love 20s fashion! :)
Tell me about it when did this

I'm not really a fan of the hairstyle, but yes, they are otherwise quite lovely.

Yes and the reason is simple, they looked Very natural, because they used minimum amount of makeup. These days, it is all out to the very extreme. Maximum amount of paint, maximum amount of powder, fake eyes (lenses), fake lips, fake eye lashes, fake eye brows, fake hair etc...
Not really. No. The women were beautiful, but the style was meh.
Honestly I feel like I was born at the wrong time in the world. The 20s are my life <3
I like 1800s style. Especially if they are wearing a bonnet.
NO awful makes you look at least 10 years older
I'd feel like I was fucking a man with that hair.
All women of all times are very beautiful
We are in 20s again. 100 years later.
The greatest
Pass.
