  • Probably, like how women use make up to hide their imperfections.

I have a beard because I look like a proper alpha male with one. I look like a man that bangs chicks left, right and centre with a beard.

Of course I am an Omega male, but looks can always be deceptive.

  • I don't know if they do it purposely, but it can make heavier men look thinner in the face. I am a fan of beards, so I don't care if they are trying to hide something or not.

  • A double chin, weak chin, weak jawline, a too wide or too narrow face. All of that and more can be hidden under a good beard.

  • Yes. Hipsters for example use a beard to try and look like a grown up and cover up the fact that they're actually stupid little dickheads.

  • Yep, that's why my fat belly grew a beard recently.

    • So, covering up one imperfection with another? Smart.

  • If a guy doesn't like their chin, it's a way to cover it.

  • If women can have any hairstyle and any type of clothes to camouflage THEIR shape of face or features or their physical shape, surely guys can grow beard to hide theirs.

  • I don't think they do it for that purpose. Men don't fake it as women likes to be 'perfect'. We are not so self-contious. It's kind of woman thing.

  • My husband has a scar on his cheek from an old work accident. His beard covers it.

  • Some do, although I wouldn't say they necessarily have bad features. I have some guy friends that think they have weak chins and jawlines, so they like a beard to enhance their overall face. It suits them.

    • How thick and long beard is labeled as "sexy"?
And what if a late twenties guy has some greying beard hairs?

    • Show All
    • @Youusername yep = )

    • Okay, if I get insecure anytime then is it better to dye them or shave them off?
Because let's face it most guys my age don't even have much chest hair to begin with and having a greying chest carpet makes me feel weird old bear

  • Yeah idc much tho i like facial hair but i also want him confident and comfortable however he is around me.
