I'm going to assume you mean like short shorts or spandex shorts, etc. No, I don't think she is automatically a skank. To be honest, with what people wear today it's kind of normal. One day we might just walk around in our underwear lol.
As a dude, I wear spandex shorts underneath my gym shorts but that's mainly for support. Obviously spandex is really convenient with running and any sort of leg movement since nothing gets in the way of your legs moving. Funny, girls don't really need support "down there" lol, more like uptop so a sports bra makes sense. Sports bras are like undershirts (wife beaters as they're called) guys wear. At the gym some guys walk around in it or wear it under a t-shirt and at the gym some girls walk around in their sports bra or wear it under a t-shirt also. Personally I'd like to walk around in my undershirt just because I get hot when I workout and the sleeves wouldn't get in the way but I have some scars so I don't; something similar goes for sports bras. But in general, girls tend to reveal more skin so they have a higher tendency to go sans t-shirt. The same thing kind of goes for spandex shorts and wearing shorts over them.
Now, I might think she's a gym bunny (or skank) if she goes to the gym in a revealing outfit but doesn't workout. At the same time, if the girl's comfortable wearing it then that's fine. Although girls need to know that wearing revealing clothing like that will draw looks from men, especially if she's fit and/or on the hip abductor/adductor machine lol (I'm guessing they're trying to "tone" their thighs but the machine is a bit ludicrous because of the legs opening and closing). If she's overweight, not a good idea...

Being totally honest I wouldn't approve or appreciate it unless it was ridiculously hot weather. Regardless of how in shape you are or think you are the gym is not the beach. There is specially made fabric clothes for keeping you cool and flexible so there is usually no excuse to be in nothing. I'm there for a reason and prefer little distraction and I put up with a dri fit vest so you can too.
Also for the love of god bring a towel and wipe any surface you use once done, I don't want your sweat, especially if barely covered, left where I need to touch. The gym is not a p*rno, you can flex while covering your flaps.
I would go to the gym in a sports bra and shorts. Why? Because it's comfortable and I hate the feeling of sweaty clothes on my body. It depends what you're comfortable in. I personally think if you have the body to be wearing a sports bra and shorts then go for it! I would not however want to see a 200 pound woman jogging in that.
You're on a skank if you're not there to work out but to hit up on guys and get some numbers. I don't think skank would be the right term for that though.
I usually just wear t-shirts and sweats or else basketball shorts. I don't go to the gym to look cute. I go to work out, and I actually prefer not to draw any attention to myself. I try to work hard when I'm there, and I don't exactly feel pretty when I'm sweating like crazy, so I'd rather not stand out by showing a lot of skin. But to each their own..
if you have the figure for it then go for it! I'm jealous of girls who can pull that off and I just think "more power to her!" I tend to go just in sweats and an old tshirt because I want to b comfy and there's no one that is gonna pick me up at a gym.. lol!
i wouldn't wear that little at the gym, only because I don't want guys to think I want to be hit on, I like to be left alone at the gym. but I wouldn't think a girl was a skank for wearing that, if she had a nice body it would be like motivation for me lol

It depends why you are going to the Gym. If you are going for health reasons wear what you are comfortable in. If you are going to be gawked at by the guys put on your $300.00 outfit.
Ask yourself this What kind of guy are you looking for. Personally I could care less what a woman wears to the gym. I care more about her as a person than if she wants to or needs to wear designer workout clothes. I have a great girlfriend right now that I plan to marry and though she likes to dress up for herself and I appreciate it when she does she knows I love her just as much when she is wearing sweat pants and a dirty T shirt to work in the yard or when she goes to the gym. I guess what I am trying to say is that if the guy just cares about your wardrobe then that is kind of superficial. In the Maryland, Virgina, D.C. area there's a chain of Spas called, "Balley's Health Spas". link
It's been years since I've been there but it's very big. It has a co-ed section, a girls only section and a guys only section. In the co-ed section girls were wearing make-up wearing the sweetest, hottest, tightest, most prurient outfits they could possibly find. None of them had an ounce of fat on them. They were clearly there for one reason---finding a boyfriend if not someone to f***. They were all on the prowl and I had no problem with that.I don't think they're skanky, but I'm not convinced they're really there to work out either. To me they're just being attention whores, wearing skimpy workout outfits in a place full of men. Personally I'm trying to workout, I don't need the distraction of hot girls running around in tight ass shorts and sports bras. Tshirt and shorts would be more comfortable anyway.
It always makes me laugh when I'm in the weight room and I see some Gymbo walk in, in booty shorts and a sports brah, full makeup, and a cloud of perfume come in, grab a 5 pound dumbbell and starts doing curls while looking around to see if any of the guys notice her.if you are worried about wearing that, which you shouldnt be, cut the sleeves of a tee shirt and then cut down the side until like 3 inches to the bottom. a lot of the girls basketball players wear this to work out and it is just sexy imo. but just wear what you are comfortable wearing and it won't matter to anyone else who is there to WORK OUT. too many people focus on what they are wearing to the gym and how they look instead of what they are going to do or doing. what you want to wear will be fine
I do it
I hate being in a sweaty shirt, plus everyone thinks everyone is a skank these days no matter what they do so f*** em I say. But yeah just wear whatever is comfortable. You will get a lot more attention the less you cover up so if you don't like that I wouldn't recommend it...I was at the gym this afternoon, saw the same woman I do every weekend, same time... same outfit; tight yoga/workout pants and tank top and the butt is eating the pants... passes by me not once but twice. Do "I" have a problem with that.. nope. In the area I live in it's difficult to find a woman who IS fit/athletically built, with kids or not. I've also seen a few guys lifting in spandex shorts, kind of like boxer briefs of under-armour. I've often pondered "hmm since women can wear more revealing clothes, guys can too, it's an equal world that has been created right?" Sure it is. Do I have the balls to do as that "said" guy I saw wore... nope.
I think that in the gym, attire can be more risque, though it says something about the girl. A sports bra and shorts doesn't sound that bad though I would need to see it to be sure ;).
Wear what makes you comfortable in the gym. My ex always dressed down to avoid the looks as it got in the way of her exercise. If you enjoy the looks, then dress provocative. It really doesn't matter what us guys think when you are working on your body.
Most guys look at a girl who wears slutty clothes and call her a slut. If a girl seems to enjoy her sluttiness we call her a skank. It takes an experienced man to realize that it is usually just a girl that wants attention and she usually doesn't put out - as advertised.
So wear what makes your workout better. That is what really matters here,no, if you came to the gym wearing that, I wouldn't think you were a skank. but to tell you the truth, I would probably not workout near you or in your surroundings given the fact that what your wearing will definitely make me look your way and that might wake someone up if you get what I mean ;) and also cus I'll be distracted like crazy.
What makes you comfortable and feel secure. My girls that are friends don't try to impress while working out (they rather not stink around someone they are into) so they put on work out clothes (insert definition for self) and work out.
Plain and simple.I don't think they're skanks, but I generally don't take them seriously either. I can't help a little eye roll when they walk in and set the treadmill to a brisk walk. Who needs to be dressed like that if they only want to walk off some calories? I dress comfortably for me (Under Armour compression gear and basketball shorts/sweats) and try not to attract attention that will disrupt my workout, or anyone else's. Most women I know who are serious about their fitness do the same. I really think it's just standard gym etiquette.
Well I know its not the same but I wear compression under armour shirts and my schools uniform shorts but if you want to go for it. Just know that guys will be starring at you. But it isn't skanky a lot of sports bras are designed so that you don't have to wear anything over it
Well.. I wear shorts and tank top to gym and always busy doing my reps. To be honest, what is the point if you have a great fit body but never show it off? The guys can only look but can never touch anyway lol XD
If you're focused on working out wearing this, I'd probably think "she's a hardcore fitness person" If you're chatting up guys instead of working out, I'd think you were a skank.
I just wear a t-shirt and sweats or shorts. I don't like to show a lot of skin as it is, and I don't want any attention on me, I just want to work out.
No not at all. If anything it shows your serious about working out. Its not your first time or anything. Working out is a lot of work its best to be as comfortable as you possible can
Hell no...your there to work out not to engage in a raunchy porno shoot...
Actually if you come to my gym with sweat pants and an over sized sweat shirt, I will call you a skank. But, if you come dressed in a sports bra and some small shorts, you get a free membership.
I think most guys prob go to the gym...hoping for this...
if you got it flaunt it, if your happy with your body why not ..i would prob check you out and wouldn't think your a skank because its the gym and it gym cloths I'm love girls in that clothing turn on much
peace,
smoothWhen doing sports wear whatever feels most comfortable to you. If others think bad of you because of it, then they're idiots and their opinions shouldn't matter much to you.
