One person. Carrot Top. He is the ugliest redheaded man I have ever seen no matter how much he works out. I do feel bad for redheaded men though. I think we were even in elementary school with the getting made fun of and everything but now that we are adults us redheaded women defiantly have an advantage. Personally I judge the attractiveness of a redheaded man the same way as I do another man. I am friends with several attractive men with red hair. Do any other redheads run into the issue that if you hang out with another redhead you are automatically related to them? What the hell? Whatever, I feel your pain. Ginger power.
I don't find red hair ugly at all.for example Ron Weasley form Harry Potter.haha yeah I'm a dork! well whatever, I think he's super cute and he has red hair. I think it just depends on whether red hair suits you or not.
I actually find most redheads cute. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
i have seen some good looking red heads. but the last one l was with had quiet the temper. honestly, I don't think I would like red pubes though.
there used to be a lot less redheads now days there are much more. my son has red hair and the has had tons of other classmates who also have had read hair. so I don't think its because you guys are different really. he says none of them ever get picked on for having red hair. lots of people are always telling him how cute, handsome he is. the girls seem to grin at him too. he seems to do well with making friends.
there are just people out there that not only make fun of redheads. I'm sure if you hung around those people making fun of redhaired people are most likely making fun of others for many other things too. some people just find something ugly to say about any and everyone. so don't pay attention to comments like that. does their opinions really matter?
mate - all gingers are evil and should be removed from the face of the earth ;)
just messing - I'm red-haired myself & recall going through the same existential crisis. add to that I had absolutely no sense of style at the time & the combination was frightful.
redheads are unusual, even in a society with plenty of fair-haired blonds (real & bottled), and people fear what is strange. I think you already know that many redheads tend to have - ah - "emphatic" personalities ;) which often doesn't help our PR.
we also burn more easily & so are prone to having skin damage or being comparatively pale (from staying indoors or with all that suncream on); this paler complexion can be interpreted as "unhealthy" & hence less attractive, although I think this is changing as awareness of the dangers of exposure becomes more widespread.
if you're worried about your look, you can give a few things a try that worked for me: definitely make an effort to find good colours to wear, and avoid colours & patterns that overemphasise your complexion. you might also want to try different hairstyles - I spent most of my youth with pretty wild hair but things improved with a short crop. YMMV.
I know you are probably looking more for of a woman's perspective but I hope you find my experiences as a redheaded man helpful. First and foremost there are very very hot woman that like redheaded men. I have had always dated very attractive woman and ultimately ended marry a very hot girl from Spain that garnishes the attention of any man in the room. But with that said there is a group of woman that are not attracted to us. I have found that usually woman have a strong opinion on this matter, either they love us or they find us revolting. Now without playing on stereotypes too much and trying not to sound like looks is everything, because in the end it is your confidence and charm which is going to be your greatest asset, here is what my experiences have been.
1) Blondes will tend to be the least interested in you. There is a real draw between blond woman and tall dark guys here in the US. So I have always found success with the dark haired exotic types. But that could be mainly due to the fact that I am not that attracted to blondes either.
2) Most of the woman I have dated have been woman with lots of confidence. They knew they were hot and didn't care what there friends thought. They tended to be the type of girl that set the trend and their circle of friends thought whatever they did was cool. With that said and without sounding like a fashion accessory they liked the fact that they had something that was a bit unique.
3) Opposites attract. Plus they look really great when they walk into a party. Redheads and exotic woman grab attention.
So to wrap it up, yes there is a large amount of woman that aren't into redheads, but guess what there isn't that many good looking redheaded men, so the good news is that you will have a higher ratio to choose from than the average guy. So next time you are out find that exotic beauty and make a move.
I am a man with red hair and brown eyes and I had absolutely zero problem getting dates with women. In fact, women would often ask me out and often tell me how handsome I am. Now at the age of 32 I am married to a beautiful asian woman so no more dating, but I still get a lot of looks. Recently on Facebook, a few of my wife's friends who never met me but saw my photo told her that I was "hot". I am about 6'0" tall, 170 pounds, and rather athletic. My hair color is more of a deep red than it is light orange. The color resembles that a bit of the Little Mermaid. I don't have freckles on my face and can tan a little bit but also susceptible to sunburn. Anyone who is different in any way will get teased growing up but as an adult, not to sound egotistical, I think I'm better looking than 95% of the men out there. I also have a very sharp and square jaw line. Every color has their good looking people and not so good looking, including redheads. I've know several redheads though through my life who were absolutely stunning, men and women included. Our prom king at my high school had red hair. Eric Stoltz is a red headed actor and he's good looking as is Nicole Kidman
