    However if you want faster fat burning you need a more high energy workout than yoga or pilates.

    Some say you need to raise your heart rate for a minimum amount of time before you start to burn fat, and then keep your cardio work out going to burn fat, but others like this link suggest many short but more intense sessions in quick succession are better.

    So it's saying do a workout like

    - 8min stretch and warm up

    - 20sec as fast and hard as you can then 10 sec of rest or low intensity repeated for 20-25 mins

    - then 3 min of stretch and cool down.

    and this will burn more fat than replacing the middle section with the same time of continuous cardiovascular workout

    For the low intensity rest periods, you might like to incorporate some stretching rather than collapsing.

  • It's best to vary it abit, if you want to be more toned you don't do much cardio (suprisingly) but if you want just calorie burners you can do basic things, if you want to run it off, first you start off sprinting quickly then ease into a jog. Instead of the usual method people do of jogging then sprinting at the end. You actually burn calories better the other way around. Using weights burns a lot of fat, just use a weight that is abit heavy for you, but don't increase that weight much, I'm sure you don't want to end up muscular. There is a ton of stuff to do really.

      is only true if you're going for a heavily muscled body builder look. Note the QA is a girl, so it's fairly likely she wants a more feminine look.

  • The single largest calorie burning exercise is heavy squats. Unless you're looking for thick thighs, I'd recommend lowering the weight some. The best cardio exercise is swimming, since unlike biking or jogging, it's a full body exercise.

      but so is your body's response to frequent cold, build a layer of blubber for insulation.

  • Doin cardio is the best way to lose your weigh. Then if you want to look nicely toned, use weighs that are not too heavy. that way you get feminine look, not like muscling guy looking. Also joining a gym would be a good motivation* Beauty cannot be made up over a day. It takes time, pain and money sometimes*

    • and if you don't really like doing either one of those, an elliptical in the gym works just as good, and having more muscle also helps burn more fat, so I suggest some weight training is very beneficial as well
