Believe it or not, when I was in medical school my parents gave me a paltry $5.00 per week. But believe me when I tell you they started singing a different song when I started my own cosmetic surgery practice. I now get $20.00 each and every day!
no, my parents just said that we should do chores because we live in the house and we should contribute. If I wanted something I would just ask my parents for it, sometimes they would get it for me, or if it was something more expensive I would have to work and earn the money.
No. My mom never paid any of us for doing chores. Even when we worked everything out to a solid deal, she still chose not to pay us, so we quit doing chores. We gave it another shot, same thing happened, so we just quit again. She attempted to give it a third shot, but we had enough.
I did get paid by my dad for lawn work, though, so that was cool. Now I just get money from my actual job.
Looool, no. When I was younger, if I needed money for something I would just ask. And if one of my parents had some spare cash [and were okay with me using it for ____], they'd give me some. If not, I was s.hit out of luck, haha. Or sometimes we'd bargain some extra chores for whatever money I wanted. But other than that, I've been finding other ways to get my own money pretty consistently since I was 17, whether it be through whatever job/s I had, or donating plasma twice a week.
