Are full body mirrors the most accurate of how others perceive you?

I look into some face + chest only mirrors and someitmes my head looks to damn big or too small. But when I look into a full body mirror I seem pretty well in proportion...

  • No - think about it like this;

    Your eyes will forever see every flaw, imperfection, blimish, disporportion, etc -

    If YOUR looking into a mirror with YOUR eyes...yea you can pretty much figure the reasoning there.

    So no - mirrors do not show how others' perceive us - they just emphasize how badly we perceive ourselves.

    The only way you could possibly learn someone else's perspective of you, minus word of mouth, would be to become that person.

    Or rip out their eyes, rip out your own, and stick their eyes where yours were O_O

    But I'm not sure how effective that is...

  • I think video is most accurate-- it is 3D and not reversed

  • No, because mirrors are backwards, a full body picture is the most accurate way
