I guess a brooding bad ass look is good if he's giving that look to other people. To me, he should have a more friendlier/interested look because...well it's a look he's reserved for me (hopefully), and for the rest of the people, he could care less. Make sense?
one of my turn ons is a nice smile, so smiling is much sexier. I wouldn't want a guy to approach me with the 'brooding bad ass look', I would just think he was a cocky little douche. Just like a guy wouldn't want to approach a girl if she looked stuck up & didn't smile
Brooding might look sexier, like watching a movie and seeing James Dean brooding, but it sure is not approachable and wouldn't inspire me to want to talk to the guy. I would think he was having a bad day or maybe he is just a negative person. I prefer the friendly smiley look as long as the person doesn't look like they are a goofball or under the influence of something, lol.
My fiance has the most amazing smile and I definitely was attracted to him because of that. We saw each other at his family's restaurant for months before we ever started dating and he was always friendly and happy and it definitely influenced my decision to accept his request for a date.
As far as what I'd like to see in places like their Facebook, I would say the friendly smiley look. While the brooding look can look attractive, it will make me steer clear of talking to him to even visiting his profile.
I love when a guy smiles, something about it is just so cute :)
I used to be into guys who looked broody, until I got sick of being treated like crap. I find friendly/happy looking people way more attractive now.
i like both/either but yes I do admit when he changes things up and on certain days goes for the broody he looks so sexy and I wanna rip his clothes off. when he's more smiley I just wanna hug him and be in his arms.
I love smiling faces! The test didn't say whether the brooding guys were more attractive in a certain way. Most guys picked out to do brooding poses in advertisements have really good bone structure and facial features, whereas the smiling guy often looks plain/normal. I think the study was flawed.
When I was younger and significantly more insecure about myself, I dedicated a great deal of time towards cultivating the brooding look. So much so, that now that I no longer need it my standard expression makes me look somewhat pissed most all of the time, and when I am pissed, which really isn't all that often it goes from bad to worse. I mention this only because throughout all of my brooding intensity I realized one very important fact. Not many people want to be around someone who they believe might harm them, as I have been told I am rather intimidating, not because of my physical size, (I'm shorter than average) but because of my perpetual scowl. So consequently I spent a LOT of time alone. My point is be careful what you wish for, as it might not turn out quite the way you imagined.
Try doing both. Arch your eyebrows SLIGHTLY, like you're in a serious mood. But do a half-smile, like a smirk. Don't show your teeth.
I've done this before and girls wondered whether I was joking or being serious most of the time. And I got replies of how good looking I was.
However, at one time I went into a bar to wait for my friends who were late. So I walked around the place with a brooding "I'm gonna f*ck someone up if they get in my way" look. Guys moved aside where I walked, and girls got in my line of sight. One girl took off her jacket in front of me to get my attention. Should have opened up a conversation, but I wasn't in the mood since I really WAS irritated.
Girls aren't really attracted to the Brooding look, moreso a guy that can pull it off. Why its better to smile. I can put on a brooding gangster kinda look but it can make me seem really intimidating. So I try my best to smile it up...it can seem a bit forced though, so still need to work on that.
For guys? I think a smile also goes a longer way with a girl then the brooding guy. Brooding guy might work for the immature girl, but the mature one who'll probably give the good relationship? Smiles, go go go.
