How to dress like a douche bag?

What clothes say douchebag to girls? Usually the guys that I hear girls mutter "look at this douchebag" wear jeans and plain shirts and walk with a peppy head bobbing motion.

  • 1.) Not matching your outfit (this means wearing clashing colors like orange & purple together or multiple plaids at the same time). Douchey.

2.) Wearing your hat sideways, or just wearing those wide-rimmed trucker hats, rather than a regular baseball hat.

3.) T-shirts that are too tight.

    4.) Chains on jeans.

4.) Shiny (like metallic shiny) sneakers. Actually shiny anything, like if there are rhinestones or glitter on it, it should not be on a guy.

5.) Bandwagon-ing with your sports gear (i.e. wearing a Yankees hat when you have never met anyone that ever likes the Yankees & you don't pay attention to baseball).

6.) Dressing too preppy (like sweaters with button-ups, wearing a tie all the time)

Any of this could potentially provoke a "douchebag" comment from girls. Just sayin.

  • Usually the guys who I think are douchebags don't dress a certain way, it's all about how they hold themselves and interact with other people. They give an air of "I'm all that, yeah, look at me" kind of thing. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a guy dressing well or liking to look good. My boyfriend wears polos, guys who wear button-up shirts and other things can be amazing people. But there are plenty of guys who wear jeans and a tshirt that come off as douchebags because of how they hold themselves. IMO :)

  • Douchebag: "An individual who has an over-inflated sense of self worth, compounded by a low level of intellegence, behaving ridiculously in front of colleagues with no sense of how moronic he appears."

  • Have you ever heard or seen the MTV show "Jersey Shore?" If not, I suggest you dress like the Sitch whom IMO is the friggin King of douchegabbery. Also, you may want to throw in a few fist pumps too for effect.

  • For some reason, every time I see a man in a suit with shades on, I automatically think "douche bag." :( I love a nice suit on a man, but the shades just completely turn me off.

You could also try dressing like The Situation from Jersey Shore.

  • It's more his actions, but if you're just going by looks, if he's wearing his pants low and a tall tee then he probably looks like a douche bag.

  • it's not so much in the clothes, as it is in the actions that labels one as a douchebag.
