I do care, actually. As long as they are pretty well kept, I'm happy. However, I will notice how you take care of them to get an idea of who you are.
I'm used to "nerdy" girls keeping theirs pretty trim and clean in a very utilitarian manner. I'm used to women who spend more time on their looks making extensive use of nail polish, and sometimes color. I generally associate flamboyant colors with someone who goes clubbing, really likes color, or high school. Modest colors tell me she cares a lot about her nails, and matching them to her outfit tells me she's very conscientious about her looks and hygiene.
I'm indifferent about a gal's nails. I prefer her to have short and unpainted nails because to me it just looks nice. Real nice. It could go either way though. I like polished nails too. It sucks when it's chipped. So as long as it's not torn up, too long/fake and so on then you're good.
@Update: I like girls with small hands. The fingers can be short or long for me ha ha as long as it's skinny. I just find these more feminine as I am attracted to a feminine girl. I like a feminine girl. And to answer your last question I don't think it really matters personally. People just have preferences but can always let those kinds of things go for a girl that they really like. :)
Really long nails are a little scary, and we think a girl who spends all the time necessary to maintain them and paint them and polish them, is really self-centered, narcissistic, and into her own thing all the time, and thinks her looks make up for a bad attitude.
I like medium nails, not to short not to long. I don't mind if she polishes her nails or puts on a color, if she does I think I'd prefer a soft red or pink. I do care that she does take care of her nails, because I do too, I'm such a diva :P.
I like my wife's hands, they are warm, soft, long and slender, she has a great touch.
Short, clean. classy... No designs, patterns, tips, or glittery junk. Go with solids either clear coat or some color that is unique. I usually think those pastel like colors look good. linklink If I see what I described it comes off as classy and interesting and makes her look more well put together. Otherwise just keep them clean and short. When girls go crazy with them it doesn't look good in my opinion.
I simply love when a girl is comfortable with her natural nails! That said, I always find it cute when she wants to do something silly or something personal - something that's "her" - with them for no apparent reason. Maybe that's just me!
As far as hands and fingers go, I really don't have any preferences. Sure, small hands are cute, but seriously - they're hands! I'm content with any variety of hands/fingers as long as the woman they're attached to is genuine! :)
I've always wondered if guys cared. I keep my nails medium or long (natural, not acrylics) and I like to keep them painted. I've been complimented a few times, but I know there are some men who like hands/nails, so I never really knew what was desirable or even noticeable. Though since women make such a fuss over 'getting their nails done', I thought guys loved them. These mostly vague answers don't shock me. Men don't notice or know what they like until they see it. I think as long as your nails aren't chewed up and dirty, men don't care.
I don't do much with my fingernails, and my boyfriend doesn't pay much attention to them. The most I do is keep them trimmed and apply a clear coat, I don't like using color on my fingernails. I do use color on my toes though and my dude likes that a lot. I show him when I buy new colors of nail polish and repaint them every couple weeks or so. He has even offered to paint them for me, and I told him he could next time I change the color, which will be in a few days probably, lol.
guys definitely like pretty nails, either long or short trimmed as long as you take care of them because It adds so much femininity. You use your hands for everything and that's women wear jewelry such as rings and bracelets - to accent the female features that men don't have. Most guys won't compliment you for it, but if you are a lady every detail about you should be pretty.
I've always had beautiful, long, polished nails just lately till I i got in conflict school and home and I started to literally rip my cuticles off (unconsciously!) till the skin around my nail was inflamed and I had tiny wounds. Seriously every single guy and man have asked me what I did to my nails and it felt horrible! You have this beautiful saying that goes 'you can't hear flowers even though you can still smell m'
Great question . I never do anything to my nails. Long nails scratch during intimacy . So I keep mine either short or medium, trim with clear polish usually. I find nails to be a pointless fuss. Hubby likes my hands the way they are. He doesn't like fake sh*t.
