How do you dress up when you go to a job interview?

when I go to one, I don't dress in street clothes, but I would wear a shirt, pants, and dress shoes.

  • Depends on where you're interviewing... Some places, like certain retailers for example, don't require you to dress up. In fact, it doesn't even feel right to dress up nice, lol. Just gotta look the part...

If it's more of a professional-type position, look professional... if not, dress in a way that's fitting for what you're looking to do. That's the way I look at it...

  • I ask about the dress code when I was interviewing. Some companies do not like professional dresses while others want me to wear a suit and tie. It depends on the hiring manager's discretion.
