Tall girls tend to come in 2 main varieties pencil thin with no curves (no ass or boobs), or like big boned amazon looking girls... Neither is what I find attractive. The amazon looking girls look more masculine. The pencil thin girls, while they make good coat hangers for clothing in modeling are usually way too thin for my taste and seem bony.
Then you look at a lot of short girls that are more petite, they have a tiny waist, but their hips and butt look bigger in proportion to their body which is hot. Their long hair flows down their back almost to their butt. They look very feminine, and cute. Throw in all the dominate nature of men, and you should get it...
Men like feminine women, and like to be dominate. Women like masculine men (tall, muscles), and like to be protected. What's so hard about that?
I'm petite and I used to feel the way you do. But honestly, I think shorter girls get more attention. A lot of times you seem less threatening and very cute. The worse I've been called is "fun size". C'mon! But its not entirely bad to be a size that tends to attract more men. More men equal more choices! And I've historically dated pretty tall guys but my last boyfriend was on the smaller side too, which was lucky because he still felt big and protective over me. Have fun with it!
Be happy that you are short. Embrace it. It is a lot and I mean like a lot harder being too tall(I know).
Like guys said, mostly they like shorter girls. It's in their nature to be dominant and protective. They don't like it, when women are taller than average. So being short is even better. Guys find short girls way more attractive than tall ones.
Some guys like short and some guys like tall. They might like short girls because it makes them feel more 'macho', like they can cuddle and protect them. Tall girls could be seen like a sort of threat. The stereotype is for a man to be taller than a girl, some men wouldn't feel comfortable or may feel feminine if they are with a girl that is taller than them.
That's just a guess, I'm quite tall for a girl and I've been with guys who feel awkward about my height, I've always wished I was shorter. Don't hate it, embrace it :)
