I've noticed this during my last couple of vacations at the beach, and now after my recent vacation again. Nearly all guys (at least the ones under 30) wear tight undies under their swim trunks. What the heck is the reason behind it?
They wear them in a way that the name of the brand (Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, etc.) on the elastic waste band is visible...if that's the reason, to just show of you're wearing brand undies under your swim trunks, than that's extremely lame and ridiculous IMO!
But some of them don't have any brand names on them, so I'm not sure what the actual reason behind it is. I mean, is it just so they can wear their swim trunks lower, like they would wear their normal pants? But why? What for? Can someone please explain this? I think it looks pretty stupid.

I think it's just another version of the fashion where guys sag their jeans to reveal their underwear, which is a fashion I just loathe! lol Of course when swimming or walking the beach, it has the added benefit of keeping things concealed nice a tight if a guy is suddenly overcome with an erection, which would be rather embarrassing! lol
When I was younger, I once got one in the swimming pool when a really attractive girl got into the pool, so I had to distract myself and wait for it to go down before I could get out. That could've been very embarrassing! lol Afterwards I thought to myself that I should've gone up to her and said to her something like 'look at what you've just caused', but then I'm not sure what she would have done if that offended her, which it most likely would have done? lol1
