And what is more attractive?
For a man what is the difference between "rugged" and "sloppy and scruffy"?
And what is more attractive?
Rugged is somewhat how you look no matter what you are wearing. Like a broken nose or a rough exterior like a weathered look Jeremy Renner is one even in a suite he has a "rugged look" link or Jefferey Dean Morgan link Russell Crowe link But sloppy is link Rogan, he doesn't look rugged just sloppy because of how his face is or Jonah Hill link and it isn't the weight it's just that they have more baby faces with beards than just like chisled masculine rugged features. If that makes sense also in real life a big difference between rugged and sloppy is def. smell :/ Being dirty isn't attractive although some girls like Johnny Depp in Pirates or the Caribean I don't and I don't think others would like that in real life either. Hope that helped. : )
Rugged and manly is more of a style. He might wear jeans and boots and have stubble and callused hands, but he's still clean, showered, good hair, etc.
Sloppy, scruffy, and dirty, is like wearing old sweats and t shirts with stains on them, not showering regularly, and having messy hair.
Rugged is attractive, dirty is not.

Rugged and manly = I got up, showered, then spent the day sweating and doing manly things.
Sloppy/dirty = I woke up, spent the day eating cheetos in a bean bag chair while playing xbox, and am now leaving my house with morning breath, cheeto stains, and the same wrinkled off-white shirt I've worn the last couple days
Basically you can only be rugged and manly if you are a person who started off clean and then dirtied himself doing rugged and manly things.
And bonus points for smelling like a lumberjack (hooray cedar/oak/pine scented men)
Sloppy= When your clothing is hanging off of you and all wrinkled and stuff.
Dirty= Poor hygiene, looks like you haven't bathed or washed your clothes in a while. Not necessarily sloppy because I know people who are dirty, don't take a shower or brush their teeth but they'll jump into some brand new clothes. However, usually dirty people are sloppy.
Scruffy= Pertains to more of the grooming than anything. Like not styling your hair and not shaving will give you a scruffy look. It's possible for a scruffy looking guy to have good hygiene and not look sloppy.
Rugged= This one seems to refer to more of the appearance of the body and face than anything. A rugged guy has scars, well-worked hands, more manlier facial features and body. Basically a more weathered and tough looking face and/or body.
Rugged is when a man takes good care of himself physically- in decent shape, put together, cares about his appearance, etc. Deff good thing.
Sloppy/dirty looking is a guy who is unkempt in physical appearance- literally does not care about what he looks like, smells like, not put together at all as well as neglect of physical health.
Rugged and manly...he still showers and takes care of himself. He's just a little dirty/sweaty from working so hard. He's been using his muscles all day.
Sloppy, scruffy, dirty looking...he's not cleaning regularly and is careless. He's been out at the bars all night long and doesn't care. He hasn't washed his clothes in forever. he's homeless or looks like it. His beard is long.
The rugged guy wreaks of a hard days work. Sloppy guy wreaks of booze and is lazy
Rugged & handsome: clean, yet 5 o' clock shadow. Clothes is clean, yet very casual (plaid, levis). Hair isn't artfully combed, yet finger combed after a shower.
Dirty/sloppy: dirty and sloppy lol smells, looks like he didn't sleep well (eyes not clear/blood shot).
Rugged is so sexy
i think of country boys... wahoo!
the other kind umm.. just gross looking, possibly smelly, not sure they care how they look or dress.
however "scruff" as in facial hair on a guy, is WAY sexy too
Rugged is better looking...difference is like slutty vs sexy-there's a fine line
its arbitrary, depends on the particular man in question and the woman assessing him.
