"You look like an actress/actor"?

if people said this to you (more than one person, more than one time), what do you think this comment(compliment?) would really mean?

is it presence or is it mostly looks? is it expressiveness?

  • My first thought was that this would be primarily about looks. However, that's not the normal thing a person says to someone is extremely attractive. By contrast to say that someone looks like a model is a similar but it would not be said about the same person. While both are beautiful, a model suggests stateliness (presence), and an actress suggests class (expressiveness). There is no question that this is a compliment.
