Often I hear people complain about how their teachers or crushes don't pay any attention to them. This is absolutely ridiculous. No one owes you their attention, you cannot expect people to serve you anything more that what their obligated to.
Your teacher doesn't have to spend extra time with you.
Your crush doesn't have to talk to you.
If you want something that you're not entitled to (you're not entitled to much) then you have to ask for it.
People complain that their teachers ignore them yet I have had the same instructors before and have never been ignored. If you need extra help you have to ask for it because they're not obligated to spend extra time with anyone or speak with you after class. If they spend any more time with you than someone else they're doing you a favor.
No one owes you love. If someone interests you you need to let them know you want them. Being deserving of love and being entitled to loved are not the same thing.
Essentially, if you want extra sauce in you sandwich you have to ask for it and they might not even do it.
