What's the difference between a crush and an infatuation?

What's the difference between a crush and an infatuation? I was just wondering what the difference was, I am confused. Also, I am unsure about my feelings towards someone, and I think that knowing the difference will make my feelings more clear. Is it a crush or an infatuation I have?

Crush is when you are just attracted to a person and you know its just liking and nothing more. This lasts for a short period of time.

Infatuation is when you feel (but are not fully sure) you are almost completely in love with a person generally whom you haven't known for long. This lasts longer and feelings are more intense than what they are while crushing.

Right, a crush is a ONE-WAY feeling (never mutual) and it's more in terms of personality and how that other person is - you want a relationship with them.

Infatuation on the other hand can be two-way, but it's nothing to do with personality... it's lust; wanting to have sex with this person.

There both the same. I think perhaps you meant to ask the difference between something thats with sustenance like love or infatuation/crush. Yes?no?

You can google this all over the net. My two cents, a crush is temporary. A crush has no foundation, and it sometimes stems from our own desperation or insecurities ( I say sometimes because its different for people). Love is organic, it's built upon an exchange of love and trust. It's a familiar, comfortable and empowering feeling.

A girl had a crush on me for almost a year... so I personally think they are different. Crush = want relationship infatuation = want sexy time that's my thinking well crush is both sexy time + relationship.

No an obsession is this: preoccupy or fill the mind of (someone) continually, intrusively, and to a troubling extent.
