How to forget about crush that lives in another state?

Unfortunately, I find myself having a huge crush on a guy that lives in a state across the country.
I found out about him because he is my guy friend's best friend. I have him added on Facebook. We're both 18. I've began to notice all the stuff we have in common, music artists, games, sense of humor, etc. He even knows about the stuff I like that I thought no one else even knew about. And he likes just about every single thing I post, and he sometimes "pokes" me on Facebook and we have this stupid "poke war" for a day or two. He is quite geeky and he is overweight and has never had a girlfriend but WOW if he lived in my state, I would date him in a heartbeat.
I live in FL and he does come down here sometimes to go to Disney and other places. But I know that long distance rarely ever works so I feel like I should probably forget about him. But I don't know how, because I think about him all the time.
Any advice? :(

When you are out and about focus on whats in front of you. There is something like 7.6 billion people in the world. Be open to people dont brush them off because you seem to want to move on so dont brush them aside for leftover feelings towards someone else.

I've found that the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. Cliche, yes. But if you focus your energy on someone else then there's less time to worry about this dude.
