I Accidentally Called My Crush?

Okay so there's this guy I like and I asked for his number. He asked me why I wanted it in a joking matter and me being the person I am gave him a blunt answer;'I want it.' So we texted each other and it was all good. Till I said if he didn't want my number, he could tell me that ( I didn't want to make him uncomfortable). He didn't reply. I shook it off cause he was probably busy. I sent a few more texts over the weekend when I wasn't busy. Today I accidentally called him while trying to use my voice control to FaceTime my friend and to play music. I hung up immediately but now I'm scared. He also stared at me while I was speaking to a friend leaving class today. My question is should I text him an apology (even though he probably won't answer) or call him instead?

Personally I'd text him. If you call and he picks up it might end up being an awkward conversation, or if he doesn't and you get sent to voice mail and then have no idea what to say. There's also the chance of you rambling and then getting cut off by the voice mail without getting to the actual point. You have to keep in mind how long ago it was that you called him and what you'd say to explain why you called him, and why you waited several minutes, or maybe hours? (I don't know when you sent it exactly) to tell him. With a text you can read over it before pressing send, and plan out what you have to say. Also you have a bit more time to think of a good response.

I accidentally tested my crush. She is a friend of my sister and my sister and I have the same contacts for our texting. (We have kindled) I tried texting he nothing by just making a space but the app tested a random message that said my name about a hundred times.
