It depends what kind of relationship you're looking for.

If it's a purely sexual one, then I suppose it's alright to call her that. However if this isn't the case, i know that through experience I've felt a little insulted and awkward after a guy has called me that for the first time.

Introducing yourself is important. It is the first step to getting to know someone; therefore first judgement is important. So just start out with a friendly 'hey'. That shows that you want nothing more :)

If a guy starts a conversation that way, I instantly get the impression he wants in my pants. I hate when guys give those insincere, over the top compliments anyway. They only say it because they think it's what we want to hear and it'll get them what they want.

It's quite patronising, i just think " eww"if a guy says that the first time i meet him. I judge him as a guy who thinks too highly of himself. It's a put off for me. If i'm dating him. then i don't mind.
