How long should I wait to accept his friend request?

I really like him and I've known him for 10 months now. Last day of the semester and we walked to our cars. So he's been wanting my FB, but I kept forgetting. So yesterday I finally told him okay. It's 4 in the morning here, I don't when I got his request but he sent one with also a message. I didn't check message yet, lol... kinda scared. So when should I accept? I don't want to come across as too eager or too cocky.

Why is your age listed as 22? Playing "how long should I wait" is what a little kid does. Saying you really like him, but always forgetting to get together on Facebook is what a child would do. Don't know what to advise because I have no idea how old you are.
