Alright, so the guy I like is really hard to figure out. He's always around me and trying to start conversations with me, but he's either being:
a) Awkward around me when we're alone
or b) Paying little attention to me when we're in a group of people
Okay, so earlier in the day I was sitting with my best friend in the cafe and she was proof reading a paper for me. Two tables away, my crush was sitting and she told me, so I switched my seat from across from her to right beside her so I could see him. I looked up from the paper and see if he was there, and sure enough our eyes met and I immediately looked back down. He absolutely knew I looked at him.
Today in the library, we bumped into each other at the door, and he motioned for me to go in first playfully, and I motioned for him to go in, and we went back and forth until I gave up and went in and he said "Yeah, that's what I thought" in a joking way, because he's always joked with me since we were little. He talked to me about an event we were going to on Friday and asked if he really needed to get a form signed and I said "We're seniors now, just forge it. No one cares anymore." He laughed and joked a little and I smiled. Then I went to sit at a table and he said he didn't feel like doing online classwork, and sat down with me, but before we could talk all our friends came over and he started chatting everyone else up, but only talking to me every once in a while. Then he had to go see his guidance counselor and I said bye, and he did too. Eventually he came back, and my friend Rachel was reading my paper, and he briefly asked me about it. The topic somehow got on parties, then he mentioned his best friend's bar mitzvah and implied that his cousin was really hot and he kept repeating the joke he looked at me like he wanted a reaction and I just laughed and said he was silly because I didn't want to look jealous.
Later, before we when to lunch, I lingered for a moment to see if he was leaving the library yet, and he didn't move at all. As soon as I took a couple of steps, I saw him start to move out of the corner of my eye, so I just decided to leave and he and his friend followed me right out the library. I tried to talk to them in the hallway because the were talking really loudly right behind me, but after two minutes he disappeared in the crowd of people going to the cafe. Yet, he followed me out of the cafe when lunch was over.
He always is starting conversations with me, and coming up to talk to me, yet he also ignores me and can't sustain a conversation with me no matter how nice or sweet or relaxed I try to be. And he seems to be lingering around me all the time too?
I can't tell if he doesn't like me, or is unsure, or hates me. It's really confusing and I have no one to talk to about it right now. And why would he bring up another girl!?!?!?!
