Should I hug him around the neck, or the waist?

so this crush I have hugs me non stop. the other day we had like a 5 min. convo and my friends who were across the room counted that he gave me 6 hugs! the only thing is he hugs me with his arms around my neck, and I like to hug with my arms around his neck, it just feels natural. so yesterday I hugged him around his neck, and he like pulled me in really close and held me there for a moment, I totally forgot my friends were with us, that's the only reason I pulled away. (but I'm guessing he liked it then? I'm hoping so but I don't know for sure, lol what do you guys think?) I always think about hugging him, cause its the closest we get, and I never want it to end when he does hold me. so my question is should I hug him around the neck, or the waist? any opinions would be great :)

Definitely the neck, it's more intimate that way. Hugging around the waist on a guy might seem a bit childish and platonic. It brings you two closer and allows him to put his arms around your waist, which I'm sure it's something he loves doing and am also more sure that it's something you love feeling! I would see where this goes and whether it has potential for a relationship. If you two are in the 16-17 year old range, this type of affection is common for someone who has a crush on you also, so keep your options open and lead him on a little bit! Best of luck!

Neck, because it makes HIM put more effort into it. If he is doing the neck hug we can easily pull a one armer, and there is very little option...like you said...for that pull effect.

i think hugging him around the neck is better. it allows you to be closer. it's all about body language with hugs

doesnt matter where eva you feel comfortable but I do like it when girls shorter than me get on their tip toes and hug me around the neck I think that's cute

Everytime I hug a girl she puts her arms around my neck and mine go around her waist..
