I'm not sure how I should go about getting some time with him outside of the chemistry atmosphere.
Guys, what would you like?
I'm not sure if I can just straight up ask him to hang out...I'm kind of shy.
You can straight-up ask him to hang out sometime. Guys are in general more easygoing with this than girls are--at least I would be. Even if I weren't interested in dating a girl who approached me, if I liked her personality, I'd want to keep her on board as a friend. But to make it less awkward, just talk to him a few times before you ask him to hang out. Talk about the class, professor, homework, majors; from there, move on to interests, etc. Just like you would talk in a friendly way with another girl. But if he's anything like me and a lot of guys, he'll definitely appreciate and be flattered by the attention. You have little to worry about. Best of luck.
Yea for the most part guys are more easygoing in this area. At least ill speak for myself
I had this happened to me. My partner and I didn't finish our lab in time during lab so we recorded all the measurements and we each worked on the lab on our own. Then a couple days later we met up outside of school to compare and talk about our lab. Great way to start. My lab partner was very pretty, and I never made the move, but she told me I was gorgeous.

I don't know. To be honest, do what what you'd think is best that would give him an incentive to approach you. If he likes you, then he'll make the move next time.
Next time you're done titrating let him do a little tit rating...sorry, I couldn't help myself.
Next time you have to wait for a chemical reaction...no, that's another bad double entendre
After lab, ask him if he wants to go get a cup of whatever
Yea, just ask him casually, (to hang out somewhere) and if he likes you he'll oblige.
oh, so ure not my crush..
i was hoping that u'll be the girl in my chem lab that I think I like :D
