Guys, Is there such a thing as platonic cuddling/spooning in bed between friends?

my guy friend (that I thought was just my friend) that I have know for awhile went to his place and shared a bed. He started to cuddle me and spoon me putting his arm around me and pulling me close to him. No inappropriate touching ( he is a gentleman and would never do that especially since we are not dating). I didn't hold his forearm or hand or reciprocate in any way because I was shocked. I just slept frozen in one spot not knowing what to do. The next morning he was like "I think I spooned you". I told him he did. And he replied with saying he thought it was a dream. So is it possible for a guy to spoon his friend who is a girl platonically and not mean anything? I don't have to worry about anything right? Or was the "dream" thing just an excuse he made up so he didn't feel awkward about spooning me all night? I would think he would know he was doing it right guys?

He may have been feeling bad. Cuddling in my opinion is always a good way to make someone feel better. I say 75% most likely the dream was an excuse and the other 25% was him innocently cuddling you

Cuddling can be platonic, even in bed. I can understand how this can be hard for younger guys, but as someone who's older and knows what he wants, I would just cuddle the other person, hugging and holding them for extended periods of time, on the couch, in bed, you name it. As long as you're not making it sexual (Like with grinding or the sexual kind of spooning), there should be no problem.

Platonic cuddling is so common, you can actually hire people to come to your house to cuddle you. Look it up, Professional Cuddlers, They are real, and they are not afraid to show affection in the most platonic way possible, and it is amazing.
