What does it mean when a shy guy blushes and smiles at the same time?

I took the courage to say hi to my crush a few days ago; I know my crush is a really shy guy so I waited until everyone went to class so it could be only him and I in the hallway. I stared at him straight in the eye and we made eye contact, I waved and said "hi," with a smile. And he smiled widely as his face got really red and said "hey," in a low tone.

He probably likes you. I have the same problem. He's embarrassed (in a good way) and shy to talk to you. And he is blushing so yes, these are signs he likes you

Yeah after that happen, I have a feeling he likes me back. yesterday he was staring at me when I wasn't looking. Do you think maybe he wanted me to say hi again?

Yeah I know, my question is sorta stupid. Lol, it's just because it's my first time dealing with a shy guy. They're very hard to decode. Usually, a guy who isn't shy will be more direct with it, because you can instantly know if they like you or not. With a shy guy, you don't know whether they're just shy and can't express their feelings or just not interested. I'm just asking to make sure :)
