Why Do Guys Take My Glasses Off When They're Flirting With Me?

I wear glasses because I need to, but I wear cute, trendy glasses and have several pairs because I get a discount where I work. Sometimes guys will compliment my glasses which I'm fine with, but I can't stand it when people try to take my glasses off. Glasses aren't cheap and I need them to see, so it's irritating when people act like they're a toy. Why do guys try to take my glasses off when they're flirting with me?

Lol. That's what my sister always does because she has a high script. Mine isn't that bad, but I'll consider giving it a shot, see where it takes me. I just usually react immediately because glasses are expensive, so I don't want some idiot to break them

Well you're the second guy here to bring up kissing, so that probably has something to do with it. But my glasses haven't gotten in the way of the few kisses I've had

And the guy who tried to take my glasses off last week told me this week "I like your nerdy glasses." I know he has a thing for me, so that would fit with him wanting to kiss me

But I don't want a guy holding my glasses while he's kissing me--I want him holding me

you have a valid point. the guy should hold you instead of your glasses. but I think the guy who is taking of your glasses hasn't kissed anyone with glasses on

Thank you for pointing that out. I know for a fact he hasn't because he just got out of a 12-year relationship with a girl who doesn't wear glasses

I'm not interested in him anyway (he ended up shooting the guy his girlfriend was cheating with and I don't want to be a rebound on top of all that). It was kind of irritating that he tried to take my glasses off last week because I hate it when people do that and I wanted to know why he would do that

I don't want guys to feel weird trying to kiss me with my glasses on. :( I like my glasses and I'd just adjust then if they got knocked around, but they haven't when people kissed me before

The guy (who got shot) said he'd do the same thing if he caught his girlfriend in bed with another dude, so he's not pressing charges. The guy (who did the shooting) wasn't trying to kill him. He just reacted badly to a bad situation

Yeah. He's actually a decent guy even though shooting someone would make it seem otherwise. I would possibly consider dating him if he hadn't just gotten out of a relationship and if it hadn't been with my best friend's sister. There just wouldn't be anything good coming from that

I think you should not date him not because he shot a person (although cheaters should never be forgiven and the person cheating with them is also bad )
but simply because he will have an emotional baggage of 12 years (which could be quite huge) and also he's was the boyfriend of your best friend's sister.

Agreed. The having just gotten out of a relationship and with it being with my best friend's sister are the turnoffs. I don't care that he shot a guy his girlfriend was cheating on him with. That just shows he cares about his woman enough to physically defend her from other guys. He also isn't a cheater. But the rest of it is a deal breaker... And shooting people isn't the most sane, logical thing to do either. I'd want someone who thinks more rationally

I guess I could ask someone the next time it happens. People who know me do always make comments when I take them off. But why does a guy need to see me without glasses when I wear them all the time? They're a part of my everyday appearance
