How To deal with a Guy Who Puts You In The 'Maybe Zone'?

I met this guy in my class semester. We got along very well in class. We went out for drinks one night, and got drunk. He's told "don't let this get to your head but you're very attractive" and "I want you so bad" and he said "next time lets have sex." Although we hung out a couple more times , but never had sex. We have had a great time every time we have hung out.

After the semester ended we went the whole break without talking until I recently messaged him. We always talking about seeing each other but it never ever goes through, since he doesn't make definite plans with me.
I'm the one who normally initiates it by messaging first, and then he immediately reply and will go along and tell me to stop super late, and I normally say I can't since its so inconvenient so i haven't been able to hangout with him.
He told me to go over last night but it was 1 am and I told me to come get me and he said he shouldn't since he had been drinking.

I'm not looking for anything serious but I would like to see him at least one more time before this semester ends. Im not sure what I could do to get him more interested? Should I stop initiating the first text or maybe Im coming off too "easy"?

forget about him. unless you're ok only being used for sex, this is not someone you should expect anything real or serious from. yes you are definitely coming off too easy, he thinks you're basically his. when a guy asks you to come over at 1am it's to hook up for sure. stop contact him, he doesn't take you seriously or respect you. you're just someone he could hook up with if he wants

I totally do get that feeling off of him, I'm not looking for anything serious. I really do like his company and I'm normally super picky with the guys I hangout with. I know he's interested at least a little, but not enough to try to make plans to see me & I'm just trying to get him to that point! Very frustrating. I have tried backing off, but it's almost need that closure just to see him once and go out and have some fun before the semester ends.

well guys are pretty easy when it comes to sex. if you are really sure that's all that you want from him, one night with no regrets, then make sure he knows that once you ask. I think it will be harder to say no that way ;)

With guys like that you have to wait for them. Think of it like your parents. If you continually ask for something, they don't usually give it to you, but later on the surprise you with it because they no you want it. Now the principle is not the same obviously, however I believe this is still how to fix it

Yeah that makes! I have backed off and tried waiting it out but nothing happens.
I know he has to be at least a little bit interested! But obviously not interested enough to make plans to see me, I'm trying to get him to that point but I don't know how!

Sometimes you can never get them to that point. It may be hard to let go, but if it comes to it you may have to, to save yourself from more emotional confusion
