This means the chest, torso, groin areas are touching. Maybe your head is resting/touching the side of your partners. Does it mean a lot? A little? Is it reserved for crush's/boyfriends only? What about close friends? How do you hug different people differently?

Essentially what this poll tells us is that it's different for every person haha.

Gals may be less aware of the intimacy and wanton aspects when being enthusiastic or showing affection, so anybody might get one at times appropriate.
Otherwise, completely aware & overt, then these are intended to be intimate with best, trusted friends and crushes/more.

That said, this position is pretty much how proper ballroom dancing is performed, as these "contact points" telegraph how to move in sync with each other, so one might get jaded or callus to a hug similar to this but never immune to them from someone found alluring.

When I give a full body hug, it usually expresses love I have for the person. Like I give full body hugs to my family and boyfriend. If you a friend, all you getting is a simple side hug lol.

I want to say close freind who is like family. Women often do it when they need to be close to someone or when a stressful situation is over. A few of my female friends have given me a full contact hug but it was an emotionally meaningful one. It was not at all sexual.
If you two are not dating then your a good freind to her. If you are then it means she likes you and feels close to you.

With a crush it depends how much we have touched and how good of friends we were. If it is a girl doing that you definitely have her trust. Try asking her out.

Maybe. We are super close that's for sure. The thing was she spontaneously asked if I wanted to swing dance. We had been dance partners on a multi-school internstional trip. It was weird though because while dancing she clearly pushed for some more complex and let's say "physically close" dance moves. So I'm not sure if the hug (which by the way was much closer than any hug we've ever had before) was due to the fact that we had been touching all night, or if it was a sign she likes me. (I know she likes me as a friend haha)

Full body contact hug? Jeez!! That's loaded! I'm not even sure how I would define it. According to YOUR definition, I would say that I'd give a full body contact hug to ONLY my wife/significant other - no one else. When you include the groin area, that's something I have a problem with.
