Why do tall guys like short girls?

I know there are exceptions to this, but I notice a lot of extremely tall guys tend to like extremely short women. (Ex. 6'4 male with a 5'3 girl)

I always have found this odd because I would think guys that tall would want to be with someone taller so there would be balance in height.

Does anyone know why?

I know 5'3 isn't exceptionally short, but I'm 5'8 so it feels short to me.

I'm 6'1" tall. Tall girls can be attractive in their own right, the tallest of which I've dated was 6'2". When coupled with natural curves and not being overly "sticks and bones" or "thick", a tall woman can be a very stunning sight to behold.

Short girls are fun to be around because they are easier to tease. There's nothing like the feeling of holding something out of reach of a shortie until they finally try to force it out of your grasp. There's plenty of opportunity to play with ladies that are much shorter than you are.

Lastly, I think a lot of taller guys are like average and shorter sized fellows. Approaching someone that is significantly shorter than you allows you to be a position of physical dominance. Women like men who are dominant. For men, if they aren't that secure to begin with, approaching someone with a height advantage can help take off the initial butterflies.

Although not scientific, I would also wager that really short girls actually seek out guys significantly taller than them to feel protected or affirm their smallness when in the embrace of a man's hug.

I'm a tall guy - 6'2" - and I like tall women, between 5'10" and 6'2". I used to be a member of The Tall Club, it's full of tall men who love tall women. These tall guys with short women that you're seeing are some kind of sick twisted pervs - not normal a tall!

I'm only 5'2 and my boyfriend is 6' and getting taller, he always mentions how I'm so tiny and "fun-sized." When I asked him why he always mentions why I'm so short, he told me he loved that I'm so small. I guess he just likes feeling big and like the protector, which he is:)

I agree with you. I'm only about 5 ft and my boyfriend is like 6 ft something. most boys prefer being tall because some people go on about it looking weird and unmasculine for the guy to not be taller.

this isn't really helpful, but I've always wondered this myself. I thought it might have something to do with power..IDK
