How do I know if he, deep down inside, thinks he is too good for me?

My boyfriend and I have been together for awhile...I just feel like sometimes he thinks he is too good for me...he snaps at me when I talk, he NEVER comments on my outer beauty (or inner, for that matter), and not to sound conceited but I am not an ugly girl. I personally think he is gorgeous, but other don't seem to think so. His previous girlfriend was, according to him, "gorgeous" (even though I have seen her and um...I wouldn't date her if I was a guy...and I like girls too). I just wonder if he feels like he can do better than me? He used to always tell me that he thinks his ex is the most beautiful girl he has ever been with, blah blah...but this when we were just friends. I just wonder how I'll be able to know if he thinks he can do better. Cause if he does...he can go and try to! lol... but I doubt it will work out for him.

I see this as could be a possible few things

The first is that he's too comfortably around you. He can constantly snap at you and he fears no repercussion. I admit sometimes as guys we take our partners physical appearance for granted. I'm not sure how long you've been with your fella but after awhile the initial shock of outer beauty becomes normality and thus we forget how special they are... But If your really not overstating and he really does never compliment you then that could only lead me to believe that he may possibly be no longer interested in you.

The signs you mentioned of snapping and never commenting on your beauty are early signs of starting to finding somone annoying/niggling AND a loss of interest in that person.

Obviously before making any rash decisions you should at least sit down with your fella and tell him how your feeling and see what his response to that is. Sometimes as guys we aren't fully aware of how we make you women feel, he might think everything is fine and it seems its not

Don't compare yourself, don't wonder, just know it. You said he said his ex was gorgeous, when you think she wasn't up to par? Its probably because she exuded confidence, in herself and his attraction to her. If he does continue to snap at you and makes you feel bad about yourself, you will have to have the confidence to tell him you deserve better. If you don't show that type of confidence it could leave him wondering if he could do better, because you obviously think he can.

If you have doubts about if it will work out with him then maybe he isn't the right one for you. Why would he still be talking about his ex when he is with you. If he snaps at you when you try and talk that isn't good at all. If he cared he would say give you compliments out of the blue. I think maybe you should break up with him if it isn't what kind of relationship you want.

if he really likes you he will come looking for you if not than b thankful you left him. no one should be with someone that treats them bad!

HA in the beginning maybe he was, but he doesn't have anything to do with her now...shes gone off and had a baby with some other dude so I think he's pretty much been forced to move on. But I talked to him about it and he explained to me that he doesn't want me to leave. Of course. He doesn't wanna be alone. Who does? I think in order to be able to see what's really going on, I'll start treating him the same way and see if he notices, or better yet, even CARES.
