How do I actually greet a girl?

I am always confused about if I should just say hello, give a hug, kiss on a cheek, handshake, etc... when I am meeting a girl.

As a guy how would you greet a girl in these circumstances:

1. First time meeting, complete stranger.

2. First time meeting, friend of a friend.

3. First time meeting, girlfriend of a friend.

4. An acquaintance you don't see very often.

5. A friend you see on and off.

6. A close friend.

7. An ex-girlfriend.

8. First time meeting a girl, but only want to be friends.

9 First time meeting a girl, but you would want to date.

Sometimes, I just get these awkward vibes at times, because sometimes I have to think about what I should do. Do I give her a hug? Do I give her a handshake? Do I just say hello and smile?

How would you girls like to be greeted in these circumstances?

1. "Hello, Hi, Hey" Choose one haha
2. Same as above but tell them your name and shake hands.
3. "Hi I'm John's friend" and shake hands if you think your friend won't care. Some guys get really jealous.
4. Say "Hi", ask how things are going.
5. Hugs are okay most of the time as long as you know them at least a little.
6. Different for every girl but a kiss on the cheek is okay sometimes as long as it's friendly and not sexual
7. Depends on how your relationship ended.
8. "Hi" and don't flirt that much.
9. Flirt with her and make her laugh. Make a lot of physical contact after you start talking and flirting but don't go overboard.

9. Hmm kinda tricky. Maybe hello on the first date, but if you get a second date, bump it up to a kiss. If you're very charming you may get away with a kiss-hello, but it seems a gamble.

well not matter the relationship I have with her I always say hello and goodbye with a kiss but then again I'm from ny and I kiss my friends hello.. but either way it shows confidence and a strong character.. don't get me wrong there are some girls I just say hi to.. but don't jump on her to give her a kiss just make your way over and act normal don't trip or fall just to get there.. but sometimes if its a quick hi and bye then leave it at that don't run over to her
