If a girl doesn't want to hug you, it means she doesn't like you?

OK, so I've known this girl for a while and I think we get along fine. We talk a lot, we make each other laugh, we tease and are sarcastic to one another and usually (for me, at least) time flies when we talk and she always has this smile on her face when we are together. One thing that's been bothering me is that she will hug other "mutual" friends, male or female, doesn't matter or even "high five" them or stuff like that with no problem. If I ask for a hug (like most of her male friends do) she will just refuse, even shaking hands seems out of the question. I don't think I stink or anything, other girls hug me even without asking but she just seems to have this repulsion towards me. I stopped talking to her because I thought she just didn't even like me as a friend and she got upset and told me not to do it again, I was like WTF. She did hug me ONCE (side hug, very tight, arm around my waist) but after that you couldn't get her near me. It really bothers me, so I'm trying to decide if I should leave her alone even if she gets upset or just be the "unhuggable", oh yeah, and I like her a lot, she is just so stubborn its irresistible lol

She is probably more conscious of her body around you than other guys, because she really likes you. If she hugs or high fives mutual friends, no problem, but with you she backs off, there must be something there. It may be too overwhelming for her to straight up hug you, you should ask her out :)

She is possibly uninterested in you and doesn't want you to be interested in her either.

So yes, she doesn't like you that much. Especially if she lies about it.

I agree and that makes a lot of sense. What doesn't make sense is that if she isn't interested in me, why does she try to get my attention every time I ignore her AND if she doesn't get my attention, she gets upset? I'm not imagining it, with comments like "I'm not laughing with you, I'm laughing AT you giggle giggle giggle" (with a big, dreamy look in her eyes) I'm pretty sure she wants me to respond, especially if the joke wasn't even directed at her.

I did, she told me "she didn't know what I was talking about" and that "she can't act the same with everybody" (which she does). That was before I stopped talking to her. She got upset because I would ignore her and her attempts to be funny and cute and that I was being "mean", if anything I was doing her a favor.

No no no she dose like you for example i do that to the guy I like I don't know why but it's just that I get shy why I'm close to him for example we were on my bed and he was close to me so I was like oh shit what do I do so I ended up movein:-( ughh I hate it she's nervous to hug you I think she liked you she's just shy
