Girls: do you expect the guy to initiate the conversation?

I am primarily referring to texting. Do you wait for the guy to text you first or will you text him first if you like the guy?

I don't understand why girls have this mentality of never wanting to initiate a text conversation because they're afraid of annoying the guy. If he's always initiating, then eventually he'll start to wonder why the girl never initiates ever. I find it very refreshing to see a girl I'm interested in text me first. It's only what you say that'll make you annoying or clingy.

I hate how girls always say it looks desperate or clingy if the girl initiates calls or texting, whenever I have done it, when I am just getting to know the girl, the girl has called me clingy or desperate, and I did not literally call or text her every-day, I did it like once every 3 or 4 days

I always like it when the guy texts first. I'm one who is always the one that starts a conversation and sometimes I think he isn't actually interested in me when its me trying to talk to him all the time.

No, I don't expect him to. If I want to talk to him, I'll text him. Of course, it's nice if he initiates too some of the time.

I usually wait for him to text unless I need to ask him something. Sometimes he brings up the fact that its always him who does stuff first, in that case, as a rare treat, I'll send him one first to boost his ego a little but then back to normal, he does the running, I play it cool ;)

Honestly, I never really initiate. I'm always afraid I'm going to come across as clingy. I would think if the guy was interested he would show some sign of interest by texting me. Otherwise, it makes me feel as if he's not interested.

I wait for him to text it shows me a sign of interest from his part, I don't want to come on too strong or clingy if I text him first. Plus if he text me first he shows that he's thinking about me which I love.

I always wait for my boyfriend to text me first. Except on his birthday I texted him first to say happy birthday. I don't text him first because I always hear guys talking about how their girlfriend texts them too much and needs to back off and give the guy some space. I don't want my boyfriend to feel like that at all so by him texting me first I know he actually does want to talk to me, y'know?
