If a guy is confused about dating his current girlfriend and his ex?

This probably means that he's not emotionally ready to be in a new relationship. We all have feelings of love for our past partners, even if, along the way they hurt our feelings. It sounds like he simply has not completely resolved his feelings for his ex and that he may be lingering on intimate or romantic feelings instead of allowing his love to be more about respect for her as another human. In other words, we can love someone without being "in love" with them, and it sounds like your boyfriend is still "in love" with his ex.

Not a problem everyone goes through this..He just need to find out what he wants..If the new girl treats him better than his ex than he should stay with her and make there relationship just as important as his last one. If he goes back with his ex and it doesn't work out not only would he hurt his ex but he would hurt his old new girlfriend as well and she might not take him back..Follow your heart and always know that things happen for a reason..LOVE

Unfortunately yeah. But it does depend on if he is really trying with you.Did he openly tell you about his ex? Is he still in contact with his ex? Because it may just be that things were left on bad terms. Don't underestimate the power of communication, but if you don't want to bring up the subject, then look at your relationship from the outside in...and be real with yourself. Do the feelings of his ex matter to you?

He kept her a secret and then she came to me and told me they saw each other and then he confessed to still loving her. We've stayed together but they still talk and I'm worried something's up. Our relationship has been a bit rocky and they have a really intense history.

He confessed to still loving her,but then he chose you. That has to say something. I think the fact that she came to you could suggest that she wants him back. Its probs because of their intense history that they still talk. It may be hard for your boyfriend to hurt her and cut off all ties with her.Situations like this are never fun. Patience is an incredible virtue, I would let it play out for a bit but be vigilant for any warning signs. I would also talk to my friends about it, they give good advice

Well she's given me proof that they were sort of seeing each other behind my back and she says she doesn't want him, but that he wanted her and then left her, so she was mad and told me about it so I would dump him. Mutual friends confimed this... :( He doesn't talk to her anymore, that I know of, so I guess he did chose me so that makes me happy. But this is the second time this has happened in 8 mths, do you think ti could happen again?

Yes. When my boyfriend and I broke up after 10 months he moved to Turlock and started dating this other girl and after a month of them being together him and I got back together because we still loved each other so much and a week or so later he moved back in with me and now we still live together getting married and are having a baby.
