Are there really any gentlemen still out there?

I'm just curious - are there really any gentlemen still out there? I've been talking to this guy that lives in another state with my sister- one of her husbands friends. And he is just unbelievable! he is such a gentlemen. and I have been w/the same guy for 5 years and we are having some major problems! And I've been thinking about leaving him! And moving to my sisters! This guy seriously says the sweetest things like that could come out of a book or something and I ask him about it and he says that that is just how he is. he's so passionate and caring! I'm just wondering if this is even possible or if I'm dreaming. are there really gentlemen left out in this world?

There are definitely gentlemen left in the world, but there are also many men who think that they are gentlemen, but cannot uphold that status in the long term. 5 years is a long time and you can either chose to tough it out or find out more about this other dude, but remember one thing: meeting a really nice guy and having problems with your current guy at the same time can be emotionally confusing. If the new guy is a real gentleman, then he will know how you feel, but will not attempt to steal you away from another man unless you are in distress and looking elsewhere, provided he likes you.

Well my sis - is the one that told me about him because she knows that I have been unhappy for a long time and she knows that I've wanted to leave! And I think she is just looking out for me! And your right I am emotionally confused!! Bcuz I love my boyfriend but I'm just not in love with him anymore! And then I have this guy that I'm talking to that just seems to understand everything I'm going through.. but he isn't like pushing me or anything he is just there for me - but he just seems so right 4 me

You rang? Yes, it's true, there are still gentlemen out there. I know it's hard to comprehend, but there are still guys who appreciate women for who they are. I'm one of them, please refrain, I know it's hard. (jk, lol) I would just say to get a good feeling for it all before you end your current relationship and start this one. (and move of course, job too.) There is a lot to think about before you change your life. Hope it goes well for you.

Is he married? I once had a man say all these wonderful perfect things to me and then I found out he was married! He DID say things I never thought men said anymore. You should be able to find out easy enough though your sister. If he's single, it's encouraging to know that passionate, caring men still exist!

No he is not married - and he's had a rough life too! We've gotten to talk about a lot of things... and we've actually gotten to know a lot about each other. He is in the marines and I'm serious- he is such a gentleman! My sister is the one that first got us to talk because she wants me to leave the guy I'm with because she knows I haven't been happy with him for a long time! So she knows him well and she said that she knows that he would treat me right!! He seems so passionate and a gentleman!!

Well, If the relationship you're in is basically over, then end it for good and move on. You need to realize that life is short and you don't want to pass up what could be a good thing. I like the way you've gotten to know each other over time. You are already connected so my BIG bit of advice would be to leave the bad relationship before you two become more involved.

Yes there are gentlemen out there. I guess the same question could be asked about ladies; I wouldn't think that a lady would be chatting up another guy while still in a 5 year relationship with another one. What do you think?

Hmmm, perhaps a guy chatting up a girl who is already in a relationship isn't that much of a gentleman. Be careful, the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Yeah theirs men like this out there , it takes time and really good luck to find this kind ,

try to make sure that he's single and not into any kind of games and this you can know while you meet him in person not on phone or onlline ,real life show us the reall personality

There are a few genuine gentlemen still around though they are disappearing quickly.

However, a old fashioned gentleman will be looking for an old fashioned lady. Think about the old standards used to judge a lady. So if you fit the bill go ahead, if not best not to try.
