Why do females hug so tight? Do females normally hug tight, or is it if they like the person.

Ah the types of huggers :D

1. Aggressive hugger- Grabs you to hug at random practicably forcing you to hug.

2. Soft hugger- A little over the shoulder action, not very rough and sometimes its hardly noticeable.

3. Tight hugger- I always imagine this type of hugger loves others to feel loved :D

4. Basic Hugger- Typical hugger like a 5 second arms to back contact.

I'm not much of a hugging type of person but my friends are. I guess its just a way to show you like someone, even if its not in a flirty type of way, that just depends on the hug. I'd guess tighter the hug the more the love? Honestly I only hug my close friends and family.

I love giving (and getting hugs), and if it's a tight hug, or a bear hug, it's usually someone I'm very close with or family. If it's someone I don't see often or don't know well, it'll be a lighter hug.

I think hugs are just a sign of love. I always hug my best friend really tight, and I love her to death. It'd feel sort of half-assed if I didn't give her a big hug, haha. It's just nice and makes you feel good and loved. :)

I hug, and then I squeeze a little just so the person knows I mean the hug. But I've never noticed that girls hug tighter than guys, with the exception of that one-armed pat thing men tend to do. The "man hug"

my best friend gave me a tight hug to let me know that she likes me, most of the time she just gives me a light hug meaning we are friends.

My ideology about hugs is that the person your hugging your hearts should be touching; if not its a half ass hug, I hate half ass hugs, I hate the one armed back pats. its annoying. when I hug someone its most likely because I like them , care for them, love them, or a form of greeting or saying bye. I feel like all these moments should be done properly so I give nice warm hugs, not to tight but not limp. A hug that says I'm comfortable with you and I'm not afraid to show that I care :)

Normally when I hug someone tightly the emotions running through my brain would be:

Happiness

Love

I normally hug guys tightly because either we are really close or I really like the guy and feel the need to hug properly ;)

Not really, I hug lightly but if I want the person to know I mean the hug. I'll hug a bit tighter to pull them closer to me.
