Why did he ask me why I like him?

I like a guy who likes me. When he found out I like him, all he could ask was "Why me?". Why did he ask me this? (p.s. I didn't run through the list as to why I do. I'm not into stoking someones ego. But I did say to him "Why not?")

I'm guessing 3 Things:

1: He is unsure of Why you'd go "for a guy like him"

2: He doesn't think he is worthy of Someone gong after him

3: Maybe he would Really like to know, Why you like him. If there are any reasons at all.

You should ask what he means by "Why Me" if you're still left confused

he is looking for reassurance from you or he has ego issues... or maybe he likes to hear that he is your type... lol when you say "why not" its a cop out... tell that boy you are interested in him because of ... <-- fill in the blank... and don't take it back to elementary... "why do you like me?" just answer :)
