What to talk about when conversation dies?

Its pretty easy to talk to a girl or someone new when you first meet them, because you can ask aton of questions etc. But when I'm done thinking about questions to ask, and don't know what to talk about its hard to talk to a girl. So when the conversation dies and you have that awkward quite moment what do you usually talk about?

End the encounter before you run out of things to talk about?

Schedule a date that's active enough where lulls in the conversation will go unnoticed?

I consider it a good thing when I can hang out with a woman without feeling the need to fill dead air, this is the time for strolling and holding hands or kissing depending on how things are going.

yeah I don't mind quiet moments either, most girls though get bored from it

There has to be shared interests to talk about... I mean movies, music, art etc are topics that are bottomless.

You don't talk about anything, you leave. Don't stick around needlessly because then you just seem desperate. Talk about what you have in mind, then tell her it was good talking but you have to go.

lol that's if your at school or something and don't know the girl. but say if you hungut with the girl acouple times, and talked ALOT, but then the next time you chill you can't figure out anything to talk about because you already asked her the general questions "favorite things, etc"

Well it might not work for you or the girl you're hanging out with, but I tend to say random or obvious things just to spark up something interesting. Like if things die out, saying something like "...aaaaand now you're going to be quiet and make things all awkward, aren't you?" just to tease and add humor to things. If she says she doesn't know what to talk about, then just ask her any random question or thought. She's already loosened up a little bit because you made her laugh.

true. I was checking out some of your guestions, I'm on the same boat, I'm not shy at all, but I'm introverted, which is pretty prob why I have trouble coming up with stuff to talk about.

Definitely. Like I'm sure you read, it's not that I'm so shy anymore but that I just don't have that natural "social brain". But that's also what I'm turning into a strength of mine. I mentioned saying odd stuff- I seriously can say some weird sh*t at times lol. But I like to think that it's just as good as any other conversation. If anything, it gives me that uniqueness that I'm comfortable talking about anything.

Basically, find your strength or comfort and rock it out. I'm weird, quick in my head but not with my mouth, and confident in myself at least.

So that equals me only speaking when I mean it, people holding onto my words, and people finding my oddness interesting in whatever way. Find your strength...and further strengthen it.

I mean used talk to girls non stop all the time, but I don't know after high school and getting maturer I just run out of stuff to talk about now, I think its more of just a confidence thing.
