When is it too early or too late to ask someone on a date?

I'm in love with a girl in my class. Today I talked to her for the first time. While we talked she said that she is feeling cold, moved her stuff and sat right beside me.

Could this mean something else beside that she was cold?

I am thinking about asking her out but I don't know when and how? I don't want it to be too late or too early since I just met her.

There is not a too early or late. When I was dating, I called a girl the day after if I wanted to talk to her or I called a few days after. All depending on my mood and level of interest. Sometimes I call right away and get nothing and a few days I get nothing. My girlfriend now I called the next day in the morning and set up the date for the following weekend.

If you are reading into this small interaction. I'm going to tell you that you haven't talked to her enough to know her let alone "love" her. You may.. lust for her but I won't argue with you here.

Keep talking to her and if you feel comfortable, ask her out. If you get rejected, don't sweat it. It happens and will happen a lot in life.

Thanks a lot for your reply to my post. Well it's been already over 10 days since you posted and my feelings for her just got stronger... I tried texting her but came to conclusion that I just suck at it and now I talk to her face to face only

good, I never texted my dates, I always just call and if it's awkward... I just left it as we weren't compatible and moved on.

There is no reason to wait. Frankly, what the hell are you waiting for? Ask her out before someone else does.

The longer you wait, the higher the chances that some dudes that is NOT afraid to ask her out right away, will ask her out...

...then you're gonna be banging your head against the wall because you "waited for the right moment".

When you wait you lose...just ask me..I second guessed myself out of good women...once they find someone its inappropriate and also women will friend zone you and you will never get a chance..I am 42 and never had a long term relationship..now that I am older women don't want me!
