If a guy wants to spend the night only cuddling you, what does it mean?

I went out 3 times with this guy. He is always cuddling me and kissing me. last night we went on another date and he told me afterward that he wanted to "stay with me because he liked me so much" and than he should bring me to work in the morning. He told me "I won´t try anything, I don´t want sex, I just want to be with you". We slept together, but he only kissed and cuddled me. In the morning he brought me to work with his car. He sends me sweet messages all day long.

I never met a guy suggesting me to spend the night like that, does it mean he really likes me?

he actually told me first he wanted to be with me, after that when he saw I did not really like that idea, he assured me he would not try anything, just spend time with me and cuddle

It may or it may not. Don't judge a guy's intent by anything he does that's physical. The main way you can tell if a guy likes you is how much time he devotes to you and how far in advance he makes plans with you. I had a friends with benefits who would often just stay over and cuddle, but he still never considered me girlriend material. The text messages sound flattering -- but I'd hold out for some concrete examples of effort being used -- spending time with you, calls, making plans in advance, etc.
